Pearson - Holmes

ESCANABA - Trina Pearson and Alexander Holmes, together with their parents, announce their engagement to be married.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dennis and Marilyn Pearson of Escanaba. A 2009 graduate of Escanaba Area High School, Trina is currently attending the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in pursuit of a bachelor's degree with a major in biology. Through the school's study abroad program, she is currently enrolled at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, for the spring semester.

The future groom is the son of Robin and Denby Holmes of Escanaba. Alex is a 2006 graduate of Escanaba Area High School and was awarded an associate's degree in computer systems technology from Bay College. He is currently pursuing a four-year information technology degree with an emphasis in networking from the Western Governors University.

The couple plans to exchange wedding vows during a ceremony planned for Aug. 13 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba. The couple will reside in Stevens Point following the wedding.
