Langlois - Huebler

ESCANABA - William Huebler and Marianne Langlois were married Oct. 1,1960, at Holy Family Church in Saginaw, Mich. Rev. Thomas Horton presided over the Mass of Christian marriage.

The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year. Steve and Amanda Huebler of Milwaukee, along with Irene and Brad Lenberg of Escanaba, hosted a party Oct. 2 at Hereford & Hops, in honor of their parents. There were several guests in attendance who were also part of the couple's 1960 nuptials: David and Sally Huebler of Bay City, Bill's brother and sister-in-law (groomsman and bridesmaid), Tim (Monica) Langlois of Berrien Springs, Sally Huebler of Saginaw, and Ann Louise Edel of Portage.

Deacon Mike LeBeau conducted the renewal of wedding vows at St. Anne's Church, and Rev. Fran DeGroot bestowed the nuptial blessing. Friends from the community and fellow parishioners of St. Anne's celebrated with the couple Oct. 3, during a brunch in the parish hall.

Bill retired from Bay College after a 20-year teaching career. Marianne was employed for 40 years as a registered nurse at OSF St. Francis Hospital.

Bill and Marianne have resided in Escanaba for 47 years.

Their anniversary included a two-week honeymoon-style trip by train from Milwaukee to the west coast. They visited Seattle and San Francisco, and returned home by way of Denver.
