ESCANABA - St. Joseph/St. Patrick Parish in Escanaba was the setting for the Aug. 14 wedding of Jessica McCarthy and Nick Nolde. Rev. Eric Olson presided over the ceremony.
A reception in honor of the newlyweds followed at the House of Ludington.
The bride selected her sister, Erin McCarthy, to serve as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were: Rachel Sandoval, sister of the groom; Jen McCarthy and Jaime McCarthy, sisters-in-law of the bride; and Jayne Braverman, a friend of the couple.

Best man for his brother was Stephen Nolde. Standing as groomsmen were: Pedro Sandoval, brother-in-law of the groom; Ed McCarthy and Jason McCarthy, brothers of the bride; and the groom's friend, Dave Wilson.
Jason LaFave, cousin of the groom, and Kyle Oslund, friend of the couple, seated wedding guests.
Jessica is the daughter of Ed and Sue McCarthy and Jim and Tina Jensen, all of Escanaba. A 1998 graduate of Escanaba Area High School, the new bride is an instructional aide for Delta Schoolcraft ISD Learning Center.
The son of Mary Johnson and Pat and Cindy Nolde of Escanaba, Nick is also a 1998 graduate of Escanaba Area High School. He is a third-grade teacher at Bark River-Harris Elementary School.
Following a honeymoon trip to Chicago, the newlyweds have made their home in Escanaba.
