GLADSTONE - Andrew Lee Fase married the former Nancy Lynn Carstensen Aug. 20, 1960, in Cicero, Ill. A reception followed immediately afterward at the bride's home. Maid of honor was Anita Kachube, friend of the bride. Best man was John Renner, friend of the groom.
After working 20 years at his custom brokerage company, ALFase, Andy retired in 2003. He and Nancy have enjoyed their retirement with their new friends in the Upper Peninsula, and spending time between their home in Gladstone and home on Steven's Lake.
They celebrated their 50th anniversary during an outdoor celebration at the lake with all their family members, in addition to friends.

The Fases are the parents of five children: Gretchen (Roger) Groen of Monee, Ill.; Drew Fase of Des Plaines, Ill.; Sue (Kerry) Czarnecki of Blue Island, Ill.; Matthew (Rosa) Fase of Lockport, Ill.; and Dolores Fase of Lombard, Ill. They also have eight grandchildren: Dr. Eric (Darcy) Groen; Dr. Laura (Barrett) Schrader; Kerry Czarnecki Jr.; Marcyanna Czarnecki; Declan Fase; Ryan Fase; Carson Fase; and Leila Fase. In addition, the couple three great-grandchildren: twin boys Carter and Brandt Groen and Madelynn Schrader. Another Groen great-grandbaby will be welcomed into the family in the near future.
