ESCANABA - St. Anne's Catholic Church in Escanaba was the setting for the July 24 wedding of Mary Ellen Roberts and Jeffrey Steven Carlson. Rev. Francis DeGroot presided over the early afternoon ceremony.
A reception followed at the Ruth Butler Building.
Mary selected her niece, Andrea Rutledge, to serve as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Meyette, Teddi Kudlick and Leah Murphy, all friends of the bride, and Amanda Jasso, niece of the bride.

Standing as best man for his brother was Jeremy Carlson. Groomsmen were Kevin Carlson and Dan Carlson, both cousins of the groom Christopher Hess, friend of the couple, and Ron Williams, friend of the groom.
The bride's son, Chayse Beauchamp, served as junior best man. He also escorted his mother down the aisle. Seating the wedding guests were Tom Seronko, brother-in-law of the bride, and Ryan Dahl, cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Mykel Roberts.
The daughter of the late Bob and Barbara Roberts of Gladstone, Mary is a 1997 graduate of Gladstone High School. She is employed as a cosmetologist and owner of Cheveux Designs Salon in Gladstone.
Jeffrey is the son of Mary Jo Carlson of Cornell and Dennis Carlson of Gladstone. He graduated in 1993 from Escanaba High School and is an employee of Bay View Truck and Auto Service in Gladstone.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Carlson honeymooned in Aruba and are making their home in Escanaba.
