ESCANABA - The former Sarah Dufresne and Stephen Clark were united in marriage during a ceremony held June 26 at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish, officiated by Rev. Eric Olson. In honor of the couple, a reception followed at Bark River Senior Center.
Serving as matron of honor for her friend was Kate Heyboer. Bridesmaids were Katy Wery, Michelle Flagstadt and Kelly Poitevint, all friends of the bride.
Best man was Rob Germain, friend of the groom. Serving as groomsmen were friends of the groom Gregg Brayak and Brian Poitevint, along with Kevin Dufresne, brother of the bride.

Seating the wedding guests were Tom Dubord and Jeremy Koster, friends of the groom.
The new bride is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Dufresne of Escanaba, and is a 1997 graduate of Escanaba Area High School. Sarah earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Lake Superior State University in 2001. She is employed as a certified public accountant at Gary L. Kivioja CPA PC in Escanaba.
The new groom is the son of Tony and Elsie Clark of Escanaba. A 1993 graduate of Escanaba Area High School, Stephen earned an associate's degree in automotive technology from Bay de Noc Community College in 1996. He is employed at NewPage in Escanaba.
The couple is making their home in Escanaba.
