Thanks for helping UNICEF this Halloween

November 13, 2010
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From Paulette Larson, Cameron Elementary:

"I would like to thank the teachers, students, and parents of James T. Jones and Cameron Elementary for their participation in the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF this past Halloween. I would also like to thank the members of the Gladstone community for their generosity in donating as the students came with their orange boxes. Together we were able to raise $646.55 for children around the world in need of basic medical care, clean water, nutritious meals and school supplies. Thank you."

From the Escanaba Middle School PTO:

"The Escanaba Middle School PTO gives a big thank you for their generosity and support to the EHS faculty and staff, the kitchen and custodial crews, all parent volunteers, local businesses and everyone who came out for the Fall Fiesta Dinner. You helped make this event a success."

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site,, and clicking on the Virtual Newsroom button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
