This week's bouquets go to:
From the Escanaba City Band:
"We would like to send a great big thank you to the generous "silent supporter" of the Escanaba City Band. Their donation of money will help us to buy more music for our existing library. We strive every summer to bring enjoyable music to our community. Thank you once again for your support."
From Amy Olson of Houghton
"I want to thank whoever it was that found my husband's phone and turned it in at the Tomahawk Fall Ride. She was kind enough to call some of the numbers on the phone to try to find him that night. He ended up getting the phone back. I didn't end up catching her name, but heard her say she was from Escanaba, so hopefully she will see this. Thanks again for turning it in."
From Dorothy Taylor:
"A big bouquet for Rock. Sept. 4 was such a cold windy day, but that didn't stop their Labor Day parade. They put on such a nice parade and everyone commented what a great job they did. Everyone should praise all for all the hard work and getting it all together despite all the windy and cold weather... Looking forward to next year."
From Right to Life of Delta County:
"A special thanks to each and every person who volunteered their time and talents or donated funds and materials to help make the "Choose Life" booth at the U.P. State Fair very successful again this year. May God bless you all!"
Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.
Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
