GLADSTONE - The former Kathryn Bertoline became the bride of Dwayne Reath 40 years ago on Aug. 1, 1970, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norway.
Maid of honor for her sister was Anna Anderson. Bridesmaids were, Patty Langin and Susie Soka, friends of the bride, and the late Susie Pipp, cousin of the bride.
Best man for his brother was Richard Reath Jr. Groomsmen were: Dr. Gary Bertoline, brother of the bride; Butch Pipp, friend of the groom; and the late Mark Hagerty, friend of the couple.

An anniversary reception, hosted by the couple's children and other relatives, was held in Gladstone.
Dwayne retired this year from NewPage, Inc. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp, and is a Vietnam veteran and membr of the D.A.V. He received an honorable discharge and Purple Heart. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, landscaping, and horticulture.
Kathryn is employed as an assistant in the loan department of U.P. State Bank, Escanaba. She enjoys walking, reading, and traveling.
Both are members of All Saints Catholic Church, and they enjoy spending time at camp and with their grandchildren.
The couple are the parents of two children, Angela (Jerry) Hansen of Green Bay and Jim (Stacey) Reath of Escanaba. They also have three grandchildren, Gunnar, Tannar, and Hope.
The couple is at home in Gladstone.
