GLADSTONE - John and Beatrice Pastiva of Streetsboro, Ohio, along with Raymond and Pamela Chouinard of Gladstone, announce the engagement of their children, Rachel Pastiva and Jeremy Chouinard.
Rachel graduated from Streetsboro High, Ohio, in 1993. She received a BFA in creative writing from Bowling Green State University, and a master's in library and information science from Wayne State University. She is currently the bookstore manager for Crazy Wisdom Bookstore and Tea Room in downtown Ann Arbor. She also regularly contributes articles on environmental issues for the tri-annual Crazy Wisdom Community Journal.
Jeremy graduated from Gladstone Area High School in 1995. He recieved an associate's degree in photographic technology from Oakland Community College, and a secondary teacher certification in social studies from Eastern Michigan University. He is a employed as a preferred substitute teacher and wrestling coach for Slauson Middle School in Ann Arbor. He also performs live as an original singer-songwriter and works in the fine dining industry.
