This week's bouquets go to:
From Barb Mead of Escanaba
"A huge thank you to the anonymous person(s) who found my wallet in a shopping cart at Walmart this past Saturday and returned it to the service desk. You saved me a ton work having to replace everything. Your honesty shows how great small towns are!"
From Grace Michaud of Florence
The Niles Hiltunen Memorial Family Support Fund Benefit on Aug. 14 enjoyed plenty of sunshine, food, fun, and music. The event was successful because of the generous donations from area businesses and volunteers. The Niles Benefit proceeds serves to help families living with special needs with Random Acts Of Kindness money gifts. The Hiltunen Family would like to thank the businesses and organizations for their help and support."
"The Hiltunen Family is hoping that this event will generate interest in another event for next year. We hope the fund will continue the mission of helping families living with special needs. We are happy with the success of the event. Checks have already been given to area families living with special needs. Thank you for the many volunteers that helped out at the event."
-Lorri Merrell, activity director Bishop Noa Home for Senior Citizens:
"All the residents and staff from Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba would like to send a big bouquet of thank you's to David Shope and the Rapid River Relic Riders for spending Saturday, Aug. 14, touring Delta County area nursing homes and assisted living facilities with their beautiful classic vehicles! What a treat for all of us, please continue this annual tradition!"
From the Delta County Youth Assistance Program Board of Directors:
"The Board of Directors of the Delta County Youth Assistance Program (YAP) would like to applaud Don and Liza Darmogray, Dale Koepp, Jim Hansen, friends and volunteers for their dedication to children of Delta County. They have hosted the Darmogray Custom Jewelers/Decker-Koepp Auto annual golf tournament to benefit YAP for the past 22 years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts...the money you make for our organization goes a long way to better the lives of Delta County Youth...if you see these people...Thank them for making a difference.
From Dotti and Bob Schram, Gladstone:
"As seniors of Gladstone, my husband and I would like to send a bouquet of flowers to David Moras for being so kind and giving us a ride back to our car at the fair, in a golf cart on Seniors Day. Without his help, it would have taken us a long time to get there. Thank you again David."
Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.
