ESCANABA - Helen (Gregory) and Harold Derouin of Escanaba will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 27. Their family held a special dinner for them in May while they were in Florida celebrating their great-granddaughter's graduation as valedictorian of her 8th-grade class.
In attendance were: Helen's brother, Jack Gregory, and his family; the couple's daughter, Irene Higgins; their granddaughter, Raquel Marten, and her husband, Harvey; and their great-granddaughter, Taylor.
The family shared an Italian dinner at their favorite Florida restaurant.
