Teachers say thank you for parent’s support

May 8, 2010
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

` From Escanaba Middle School teachers

Please send bouquets from the Escanaba Middle School teachers to all of our wonderful parents and students who took the time to tell us we are appreciated, make us a delicious snack, or even give us an encouraging smile. We could not successfully teach without the support of parents and so many community members.

` From Bishop Noa Home residents:

The residents of Bishop Noa Home for Senior Citizens, Nursing Home, Home for the Aged and Apartments would love to extend a huge thank you for the amazing work and dedication the Rotary Club of Escanaba puts into its Roses Program every year. By reaching out to the residents of Bishop Noa Home and similar facilities in the area, the Rotary Club brings smiles and hope to all those residents they touch. A thank you also goes to Caron Crawford for her extra efforts and coordination that helps make all those smiles possible.

` From the YMCA of Marquette County:

The YMCA of Marquette County would like to give a big thank you to all who voted, spread the word and supported the YMCA in the Pepsi Refresh voting. Although we didn't win, we did create a higher profile for the kayak program in the community.

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the Virtual Newsroom button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
