EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Ean Konopnicki became the wife of Dr. Adam Salminen on Oct. 17, 2009, during an outdoor ceremony in Henderson, Ky., at noon. A reception followed in the John James Audubon State Park in the John James Audubon Museum.
Matron of honor was Toni Piluso, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Darcey Hile and Mandy Rodenberg, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Althena and Gloria Chan, friends of the bride.
Standing as best man for his brother was Matt Salminen. Groomsmen were Ryan Morin, friend, and Doug and Nick Beattie, cousins of the groom.

The daughter of Mark and Lois Konopnicki of Rochester, Mich., Ean is a 1997 graduate of Rochester High School. She received a bachelor's degree in 2002 from Michigan State University. She is employed as a yoga instructor.
The son of Dave and Gail Salminen of Escanaba, Dr. Adam Salminen is a 1995 Escanaba Area High School graduate and a 1999 graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. In 2003 he obtained a master's degree in mathematics and went on to earn his PhD from Ohio State University in 2005. He is employed with the University of Evansville, Evansville, Ind., as a professor of mathematics.
The new Dr. and Mrs. Adam Salminen are at home in Evansville, Ind.
