` From Tanya Schuster, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area:

I would like to send a thank you to all those individuals who collected pledges, bowled on a team, and/or who made a pledge to one of the bowlers during our Bowl for Kids Sake Event. This is a big fund-raiser for us and we could not continue to serve the youth of Delta County without community support! Another Thank You I would like to send out goes out to our event sponsors, Bill Marmalick-Premier Real Estate, Crawford Funeral Homes, Bowl A Rama, Delta County Jaycees, Atlas Chiropractic and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and media sponsors RRN, WDBC/WYKX, Mix 106 and Daily Press.

` From Joe Wilson, director of Red Buck District, Rapid River:

"I would like to thank Riverside Chevrolet for the use of their garage and for the lunch and refreshments they provided, Jerry's Autobody for providing 15 trophies, and the great volunteer help of Naomi Fletcher, Polly Wilson, Mark Rose, and all the other people that helped put on a great Pinewood Derby race. The scouts really appreciated all the help."

` From Robert Archambeau of Escanaba:

"To The City of Escanaba. This is to all your employees at City Hall, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation. They have always been friendly and helpful - great ambassadors for the city. A big thank you is in order for all you provide. Your recreational facilities are second to none, enjoyed much and never taken for granted. The ice rink at Royce Park provided more fun this winter than you can imagine. Now its tennis and the courts will be providing much exercise and enjoyment. Keep up the good work. Again, thank you!"

` From Becki Smith of Rapid River:

"Thank you to everyone who came to support the Rapid River Scholastic Book Fair by purchasing books and/or volunteering. A special thank you to Mrs. Julie Pilon and her art students for making posters, banners, and props. Our book fair was a huge success!"

` From Jill Thompson of Gladstone:

"The American Red Cross would like to thank the all the donors who took the time to donate 188 units of blood during last weeks drive. Their generous gift of life will make a difference in up to 564 people's lives! A thank you also goes to the Escanaba Civic Center, Gladstone's Memorial United Church and NewPage for allowing the American Red Cross to hold the blood drives at their locations. In addition, we would like to thank Super One Foods, Elmer's County Market, Hardee's, McDonald's and Perspectives for providing refreshments for the blood drive. We also could not have the blood drive without the help of all our wonderful RSVP volunteers."
