Victoria Magdeline Stebbins

MENOMINEE - Victoria Magdeline Stebbins, 81, of Menominee, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis.

She was born on Dec. 9, 1928, in Schaffer, to the late Charles and Magdeline (Zarno) Butryn. She graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 1946. She then enrolled into beauty school and became a licensed hair stylist.

Victoria married Roger Stebbins on Sept. 18, 1948, in Schaffer.

She was an active member of Resurrection Parish in Menominee serving on the Alter Society and she was a member of the Women's Club. Victoria was also a member of North Shore Golf Course.

She enjoyed her flower gardens and she was a fantastic cook and baker. Mostly, Victoria cherished the times spent with her family and welcomed all of the family gatherings.

Victoria is survived by her loving husband of over 61 years, Roger Stebbins of Menominee; three daughters, Candace (John) Fleetwood of Powers, Kim (Dewey) Bellisle and Colette (Dennis) Kloida and one son, Jason (Lisa) Stebbins, all of Menominee; 11 grandchildren, including Vicky (Josh) Gormley, Angela (Michael) Cousineau, Nathan Fleetwood, Aaron Bellisle, Natalie (Nick) Anderson, Dennis "DJ"(fiance Milissa Boice) Kloida, Roger III (Cherry) Stebbins, Nicole Stebbins, Courtney Stebbins, Macey Stebbins and Emiley Stebbins; nine great-grandchildren, Isaac, Evan, Jacob, Ashton, Weston, Roger IV, Haden, Teagan and Aspynn; two sisters, Caroline Fasbinder of Pekin, Ill. and Estelle LaMourie of Menominee; one brother, Stanley (Coletta) Butryn of Escanaba; many nieces and nephews; and her daughter-in-law, Renee (Charles) Wood of Cyprus, Texas.

Along with her parents, Victoria was preceded in death by a son, Roger Allen and five sisters and three brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Victoria on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Resurrection Parish at 6 p.m.

Friends may call at the church from 3 p.m. until the time of the mass.

The Rev. Fr. Robb Jurkovich will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.

The Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Victoria is a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her in her kind and loving ways. She will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Victoria's name for Resurrection Parish of Menominee.
