Dawn Klenow-Lampinen

ROCK - Dawn Klenow-Lampinen, 41, of Rock, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, as a result of an automobile accident on her way to work in Marquette. She was born on June 8, 1968, in Waukegan, Ill., and was the daughter of Robert and Karen (Connors) Hansen. Dawn attended Mid Peninsula School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1986. Following her graduation from high school, she furthered her education at Bay de Noc College where she received her associate's degree and then continued her schooling achieving a diploma in Medical Billing and Coding.

Dawn was employed at U.P. Medical Management in Marquette and also had an online Web page business "Packaged to Perfection" where she sold her hand-made jewelry and packaging products. On June 11, 2004, Dawn married Michael Lampinen and he survives. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She also was an avid reader.

Dawn Klenow-Lampinen is survived by: husband, Michael; children, Kaitlyn Klenow, Kyle Klenow and Shae Lampinen; parents, Robert and Karen Hansen, Rock; brother, Bobby Hansen, Mexico; father and mother in-law, Russell and Lucille Lampinen, Rock.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Dawn Klenow-Lampinen will follow at 5 p.m. in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Devon Barrix of Faith Lutheran Church in Rock officiating. A luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the funeral service in the Faith Lutheran Church fellowship hall in Rock. Burial will take place in the Rock Cemetery.
