ESCANABA - Nicole Ellen French of Escanaba and Mark Allen Harris of Perkins were united in marriage on Oct. 24. The 2 p.m. ceremony was conducted by Pastor Scott Harmon at the Central United Methodist Church. A reception to honor the couple was held at Chip In Island Resort.
Maid of honor was Ashley Nelson, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heather Heinz, sister of the bride; Ashley Harris, sister of the groom; Dez Bilgreen, step-sister of the groom; and Amanda Georgen, friend of the couple. Junior bridesmaid was Jenna Heinz, niece of the bride. Flower girl was Lahna Castor, cousin of the bride.
Standing as best man was Adrian Nichols. Groomsmen were Eric Royer, Brad Verbrigghe, Auvergne Richmond and Tony McPhearson, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Christian Frizzell, friend of the bride.

Parents of the bride are Don and Mary French of Escanaba. A 2006 graduate of Escanaba High School, Nicole is currently a homemaker.
Parents of the groom are Mark and Cathy Harris of Perkins and Laura Pottala of Brampton. A 2005 graduate of Mid Peninsula High School, Mark went on to earn an associate's degree in 2007 from Northwestern Ohio College. He is employed by Ives Trucking.
The newlyweds are making plans for a delayed honeymoon. They have made their home in Gladstone.
