HOLLAND, Mich. - Jessica Jo Creighton, 27, of Holland, Mich., passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at her home in Holland, Mich., after a short battle with leukemia.
She was born Feb. 15, 1982, in Manistique, the daughter of James and Catherine (Jessick) Creighton.
Jessica attended schools in Manistique and was a graduate of Manistique High School class of 2000. She continued her education and earned a bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University.

She was employed by Ottawa County Juvenile Detention Center as a youth specialist.
Jessica enjoyed being with family and spending time at her family's camp. She loved her dogs Lola and Louie. She especially loved being an aunt to her nephew Connor.
Jessica is survived by her parents, James and Catherine Creighton of Manistique; brother, Curtis and Sara Creighton and nephew Connor of Jenison; grandparents, Jack and Helen Creighton of Manistique and William and the late Joan Jessick of Manistique; aunts and uncles, Karen and DeWayne Nygard of Marquette, John and Jenifer Creighton of Manistique, Mary Johnson of Lansing, Nancy and James Means of Zeeland, Carla and Kevin Brower of Zeeland; along with several cousins.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manistique.
A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Reverend Dave Hueter officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at Fairview Cemetery in Manistique.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Make a Wish Foundation, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Zion Lutheran Church of Manistique or to a charity of ones choice.
