GRAND RAPIDS - Peggy and David French of Otsego, Mich., along with Valerie Johnson of Gladstone, announce the engagement of their children, Melissa Dawn French and Justin Allen Johnson, both of Grand Rapids.
The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Gladstone Area High School. Melissa is a student at Grand Valley State University.
The future groom is a 2007 graduate of Gladstone Area High School and is a member of the Michigan National Guard. Justin is slated for deployment to Afghanistan in October.

The wedding will take place March 10 at Lovers Key State Park, Fort Myers Beach, Fla. A summer reception is being planned for July, and will be held in Gladstone.
