If you missed Friday's Christmas parade in Escanaba, you need to watch it on television when it airs. It was another spectacular event with 60 entries making their way through downtown Escanaba.
The event was another reason why Escanaba is such a great place to live, and it showed how much Christmas spirit the city already has.
The lead for organizing the parade - Bonnie Wenick-Kutz - continues to pull off a seemingly flawless event from start to finish. Meanwhile, participants continue to put together some of the finest floats around for spectators.
Even with so many entries in this year's event, the parade was well-organized and the people who lined the street were able to enjoy the atmosphere and the hard work put into the floats.
The weather also cooperated fully with another great early winter night. The wind was non-existent and there was no snow to be found. The cold temperatures, though, reminded people we are in December.
We would like to thank the organizers, the participants and those who braved the cold weather for coming out and making this parade another success. Now it is time to declare the Christmas season officially underway.
