Escanaba’s resident coyote is still on the prowl. Beverly Ziebel, who lives on the 3100 block of 8th Avenue South, took this photo of the coyote Tuesday in her backyard. “Wow, he was a big beautiful animal, about the size of a large Alaskan husky.” Ziebel said. “I grabbed the camera and had enough time to take the one picture and he disappeared into the woods behind our house.” The coyote was first spotted earlier this fall in the area. Attempts by officials to live trap the animal have been unsuccessful.
