Carl O. Sederberg

STURTEVANT, Wis. - Carl O. Sederberg, 73, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

Carl was born in Gladstone on Jan. 22, 1936, son of the late Carl O. and Florence (DeGrave) Sederberg.

Carl served in the United States Army stationed in Germany and Korea.

On December 10, 1953, in Wells, he was united in marriage to Clara M. Aker and they moved to the Racine area in 1964. Clara preceded him in death, Oct. 12, 1992.

Carl was employed by J.I. Case Company for 28 years, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of the VFW Post 1391 and the American Legion 310.

Carl was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards and cribbage. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his five children, Lee (Mary) Sederberg of Racine, Cindy (Laney) Deaton of Camden, Ohio, Ricky (Cathy) Sederberg of Racine, Wendy Klamm (Glenn Wyatt), Debbie (Brian) O'Dell, all of Camden, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and two soon to be born; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike Aker of Gladstone, Richard (Carol) Aker of Las Vegas, Nev., Donald (Chris) Aker of Escanaba, Fred (Ruth) Aker of Escanaba, Carole Aker of Camden, Ohio; longtime companion, Marsha Barrett and family, Cindy Eckert, Jim Barrett, Melissa Yester, Lindsay Ali and grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Christian Deaton; brother-in-law, Leo "Butch" Aker; and sister-in-law, Mary Alice Ackerley.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at the funeral home from 5 until 7 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m.

Interment with full military honors will be held Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, 2 p.m. at the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Wells.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
