ROCK - Jerome and Judy Verbrigghe of Rock will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Saturday. The former Judy Vandenbushe became Jerome's bride during a ceremony held Oct. 17, 1959, at St. Joseph Church in Perkins.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Patt Vandenbusche. Bridesmaids were Virginia (Vandenbusche) Ertle, sister of the bride; Madeline Judson, sister of the groom; and Sandy Moreau and Eunice LeClaire, friends of the bride. Flowergirl was Christine (Verbrigghe) Loftquist, niece of the groom.
Standing as best man was the late John Severinsen. Groomsmen were Marshal Judson, brother-in-law of the groom; Adolph Lippens Jr., friend of the groom; and Leonard Verbrigghe, cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Kim Carlson.

An anniversary reception was held at the Flat Rock Hall, in honor of the couple's 50 years together.
Jerome and Judy are farmers. Both are members of St. Joseph Church, and enjoy attending their grandkids sporting events. Jerome has an interest in antique cars, while Judy has made an enjoyable hobby of walking.
Together, the couple raised three children - David (Linda) Verbrigghe, Duane (Lisa) Verbrigghe and Amy (Ron) Koski, all of Rock.
Jerome and Judy also have eight grandchildren - Justin Thomas, Justin Lee and Leesa Verbrigghe, RJ Koski, Cody Koski, Paige and Morgan Verbrigghe and Trevor Koski.
Jerome and Judy Verbrigghe continue to reside at their family farm in Rock.
