TACOMA, Wash. - Alana Jardis and Michael Hentges were married July 26 at Kilworth Memorial Chapel on the campus of the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. Lay minister Bonnie Westmark, friend of the couple and the one who introduced them to each other, presided over the ceremony.
A reception dinner in the couple's honor followed at the Landmark Convention Center in Tacoma. The bride's and groom's parents, respectively, hosted local receptions for the couple in Escanaba and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in the ensuing weeks.
Kellie Hebert-Follin, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor, while Chris Jardis, brother of the bride, served as a bridesman. Bob and John Hentges, brothers of the groom, stood as best man.

Flowergirls were Kaitlyn Hentges, niece of the groom, and Mia Friel, goddaughter of the bride. Ringbearers were JR and Duncan Hentges, nephews of the groom.
Alana is the daughter of Terry and Cheryl Jardis of Escanaba. She works as associate director of career and employment services at the University of Puget Sound.
Mike is the son of Jack and Betty Hentges of Spokane, Wash. He teaches math at Bethel Junior High School.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Hentges have made their home in Tacoma.
