KENOSHA, Wis. - William A. Johnivin, 69, died at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Sept. 22, 2009.
Born Dec. 2, 1939, in Dagget, he was the son of the late Arnold Johnivin.
Educated in the schools of Michigan, he joined the United States Army and served from 1956 to 1963.

He was a self-employed carpenter for over 30 years.
A member of the VFW, Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and really loved his work.
He married Janet Micheau and they later divorced.
He is survived by stepmother, Lou Johnivin; two sons, James (Michelle) Johnivin of Escanaba, and William Johnivin of Kenosha, Wis.; one daughter, Brenda (Dale) Vincent of Whitmore; three brothers, Gary (Linda) Johnivin, Dennis (Gale) Johnivin and Ronald Johnivin, all of Michigan; sisters, Betty, Bonnie, Mary, Gladys Johnivin and Shirley Parde; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his long time companion, Jacqueline Jelks of Kenosha.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Lisa and Sharon Johnivin.
Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services with a service to follow at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
