MANISTIQUE Jerome and Jean Albright of Escanaba celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 25 in "The Storm Shelter," the family's favorite gathering location, adjacent to their Indian Lake cottage. The celebration was attended by the couple's three children and their spouses, Craig (Donna), Patti (John) and Paul (Carrie); and six grandchildren. Emily, Brendan, Kelly, Jack, Kira and Stosh.

Several attendants from the original wedding party were also present, including Shirley Gardapee and Christine Dixon, sisters of the bride, and Ray Gardapee, brother-in-law of the bride. Other special guests included Bob, Bobbie and Shelly Albright, Corinne Schnurer, and extended family members and friends from the Indian Lake shoreline.

Jerry and Jean were married Sept. 5, 1959, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Manistique. They resided in Ellsworth and Powers in the 1960s, Sterling, Colo. from 1970-74, and Escanaba since that time.
