GLADSTONE - The former Alice Kleiman and Harold Dahlberg celebrated the 50th anniversary of their marriage July 18. Joining them for the celebration were their two daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Gardner of Gladstone and Heidi (Rob) Oberfrank of Minneapolis. Also joining them were four of their seven grandchildren - Robbie, Kristina, Monica and Melissa Oberfrank. Unable to attend the event were the three eldest granddaughters, Michelle Gardner of Grand Valley, Kimberly Gardner of New Hampshire, and Samantha Dahlberg of Minneapolis.
Campers from Section A surprised the golden anniversary couple with a dozen roses, anniversary cake and ice cream and an anniversary card with a monetary gift.
Harold and Alice owned and operated Dahlberg Mink Ranch in Bark River for 30 years. Harold later worked for U.P. Concrete as a cement finisher. Once he became semi-retired, Harold was employed by Chenier Greenhouse.
