HANNAHVILLE - The mud drags will be in motion Saturday, June 6, atthe Woodland Valley gathering grounds here. The races are slated to begin at noon with vehicle registration extending from 8-11 a.m.
Ten classes of vehicles will be featured, ranging from stock to modified.
"The nice thing is you don't need a full-out race track to participate," said race promoter William Sagataw. "Some people put mud tires on their 4-wheel trucks and race that way."
Sagataw said that some of the classes vie for trophies and other classes for cash prizes, depending on the amount of entries. For vehicle rules, visit www.UPMDA.com.
Admission to the races is $5 with 12-and-under free. Concessions are available on the grounds. To get to Woodland Valley, turn south on Hannahville Road, which runs next to Bark River-Harris High School. The grounds are on the left-hand side by the turtle building behind the golf course.
