Customer service topic of seminar

POSTED: April 2, 2009

ESCANABA - An upcoming seminar is focusing on teaching customer service skills.

The Daily Press and Michigan Works! The Job Force Board, in conjunction with the Delta County Chamber of Commerce, are presenting two half-day seminars entitled Out of This World Customer Service on April 22. The morning session will be followed by an identical afternoon session, allowing employers to send some of their people in the morning and others in the afternoon.

Presented by Rick Olson from Olson Seminars, this seminar will discuss how to have more than just satisfied customers and how to think big about your business, customers and future.

Not only do people leave a Rick Olson seminar with hope and courage, they leave with a clear plan of action, according to organizers.

The seminar will take place at the DNR Pocket Park at the U.P. State Fairgrounds. This and many other area tourist attractions will be highlighted through a virtual tour presented by the Bays de Noc Convention and Visitors Bureau. The virtual tour is designed to help front line staff with talking points for area visitors.

The seminar registration fee is $39. Prompt registration is recommended, as seating at each session is limited to 50 guests. Registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

Call the Chamber at 786-2192 for additional information or to make a reservation.

Rick Olson Seminars was founded in 1992 to elevate organizations through people development. Olson has spoken in all 50 states, presenting convention keynotes, training staff and management personnel, and consulting companies through times of change.
