Escanaba officials meet with DEQBy Jenny Lancour
ESCANABA - Escanaba officials have been meeting with representatives of the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) because of inaccurate reports regarding water going into the power plant and smoke coming out.
The two issues are no danger to the environment but appear to have arisen from inaccurate recordings of water acid levels and air emissions, said Electric Superintendent Mike Furmanski during the Electric Advisory Committee meeting Wednesday.
