Olga F. Lueneburg

ESCANABA - Olga F. Lueneburg, 85, 2131 5th Ave S., Escanaba, passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Christian Park Village.

She was born in Kipling on Dec. 25, 1922, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Bendek) Raspor. She attended Kipling School.

On May 22, 1948, the former Olga Raspor married Francis J. Lueneburg at All Saints Church. He preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1986.

While raising her five children, she spent much of her time as a homemaker and housewife. Years later, she was blessed with grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, baking, bowling, playing bingo and the nickel slot machines, and sitting in her favorite rocking chair.

She was a member of St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church.

Olga was a very special lady who will be greatly missed. She led a simple life, but it was a good life.

Among the survivors include three sons, Dennis of Palm Springs, Calif., Roger of San Diego, Calif., and Jerome (Cathy) of Gladstone; two daughters, Lynette (Leonard) Mackie of Two Rivers, Wis., and Mary Wood of Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren, Leonard "Boomer" Mackie, Amy (Pat) Kramer, Robbie and Luke Lueneburg, Jessica Tindell, Dawn Broome, and Josie Wood; five great-grandchildren, Sadie, Cody, Riley, Kaitlyn, and Cameron; a brother, Carl (Helen) of Rapid River; two sisters, Agnes Groleau and Frances Richard, both of Milwaukee; sisters-in-law, Roxie Lueneburg and Bev Raspor; special friends, Judy and Karl Burch of Escanaba; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Olga was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Joe, Rudy and Tony Raspor, and three sisters, Ann Perlongo, Rose Petersen, and Mary Sandstrom.

Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 7, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba.

The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church with Rev. Eric Olson officiating.

The Lueneburg family with host a gathering at the church hall following the funeral Mass.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

A special thanks to the staff at Christian Park Village for the special care that was given to Olga.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Lueneburg family with arrangements.
