HANNAHVILLE - The Hannahville Soaring Eagles were unable to shut down Mackinac Island Friday, dropping a 7-1 soccer decision..

Travis Wandahsega scored the lone goal for the Soaring Eagles, who were outshot 29-15.

"I think the kids played hard," said Hannahville coach Dan Kleikamp. "Only, we're not creating enough opportunities for ourselves. In the second half we made a couple defensive adjustments, which I think helped. They (Lakers) weren't penetrating as much as they were in the first half.

Hannahville goaltender Alec Wandahsega had 13 saves in the first half. Greg Williams stopped 14 shots after the intermission.
