ESCANABA - Joshua Alan Bintner, 17, 1215 18th Ave N., Escanaba, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, while at camp.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1990, in Escanaba, the son of Bruce and Cindy (Fish) Bintner. Joshua lived all his life in Escanaba and was a senior at Escanaba High School.
Josh loved hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling. He loved nature and what it had to offer. He was also a Green Bay Packer fan.
He was working co-op through the high school and was employed at the Family Inn Restaurant in Wells.
Josh was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Among the survivors include his parents, Bruce and Cindy of Escanaba; two sisters, Nicole (Tye) Potokar of Sheboygan, Wis., and Lisa (fiance Bobby Henderson) Bintner of Escanaba; two nieces, Abby and Ava; nephew, Alec; paternal grandparents, Bob and Maureen Bintner of Escanaba; special cousin, Mark Bruce; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby; and maternal grandparents, Ed and Jean Fish.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba.
The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with Rev. Rick Courier and Rev. Emmett Norden concelebrating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Bintner family with arrangements.
