McCauley - Sheffer

ESCANABA - Frank "Bud" and Mary Sheffer marked 60 years of marriage Aug. 18. Frank Sheffer and the former Mary McCauley were united in marriage Aug. 18, 1948, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Escanaba with the late Monsignor Martin Melican officiating.

Serving as maid of honor for her friend was Pat Goodreau (Radish). Florence (Flossie) and Lois McCauley, sisters of the bride, were bridesmaids.

Standing as best man was Edward (Mac) Davis. Groomsmen were Marvin Sheffer, brother of the groom, and Gerald Potvin, cousin of the bride.

Susan Dubord, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

Both are members of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.

Frank and Mary have four daughters - Bonnie (Dennis) Cowell, Debbie (Jim) Jankowski, both of Escanaba, Kim Sheffer of Sedona, Ariz., and the late Robin (Timothy) Schomin of Rockwall, Texas. They also have six grandchildren - Brianne and Tori Jankowski, Sarah and Meghan Cowell, and Andrew and Bethany Schomin.

A quiet celebration of Bud and Mary's life together took place at their home, in the company of their family.
