Bouquets: Local Aviation Day soared to success

August 16, 2008
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From Delta County Airport Manager Connie Ness:

"The Delta County Airport gives a big thanks to all who helped make our Aviation Day Pig Roast a fun success!

"The Hannahville Indian Community grant provided the delicious roast and food. The Community Foundation's promotions grant helped make the day a success. The Civil Air Patrol, Kiwanis, Terry Glimn Flight School and Stenberg helped organize and provide various services. The Escanaba German Band was a wonderful addition to our event.

"We had excellent volunteers: county board members Dave Schultz and his wife, Sally, Darrell Bengry; airport board member, Dave Woodworth, Bill Kwarciany; and previous board chair Mike Falcon. In addition, Martin Siegwart, Melissa Bonifas and all the pilots whose participation helped make the day exciting."

From Dennis Trudell, American Legion Post 340 finance officer, Hermansville:

"The Floriano-Stecker American Legion Post 340 and the William Anderson Sports and Recreation Club would like to thank all the sponsors who contributed to the Hermansville Fourth of July Fund. It was a successful Fourth of July at the Hermansville Lake and Park."
