GLADSTONE - Glenn A. Godfrey, 45, of 756 N. 15th St., Gladstone, died unexpectedly Monday, July 21, 2008, due to the result of an accidental drowning near the mouth of the Escanaba River in Wells.

Glenn was born Nov. 24, 1962, in Escanaba, the son of Robert and Sally (Olson) Godfrey. He was raised in Gladstone and attended and graduated from the Gladstone Senior High School. Following high school, Glenn went on to attend the Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba. He will be deeply missed.

Glenn leaves to survive one brother, Roy (Rita) Godfrey of Gladstone; one sister, Elizabeth Godfrey of Gladstone; and best friend, Jerry (Darlene) Clausen of Gladstone.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Sally, Glenn was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Godfrey Jr.

Glenn's family will receive friends on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Glenn A. Godfrey will follow visitation at 3 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home, with Pastor Art Radlicki of the Silver Winds Church officiating. Luncheon will follow at the Gladstone American Legion Hall. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Godfrey family with arrangements.
