Judith ‘Judi’ Ann Miller

BARK RIVER — Judith “Judi” Ann Miller, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Marquette General Hospital.

She was born on Oct. 6, 1943, in Escanaba, the daughter of Howard and Arlene (Moreau) Rusha. Judi was raised in Escanaba and attended Holy Name High School. She moved to Green Bay and resided there for 20 years before returning to this area in 1988. She has lived in Bark River for the past 20 years.

On Dec. 14, 1989, the former Judith Rusha married Marvin Lee Miller in Escanaba.

Judi is Catholic by faith. She is a member of the Escanaba Eagles Aerie Auxiliary and volunteered at the Salvation Army.

Judi loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed going camping, to the casino, playing senior bingo, attending rummage sales, and her card club.

Judi will always be remembered as a loving and caring person.

Judi is survived by her husband, Marvin of Bark River; two daughters, Sherie (Harold “Pete”) Tuyls of Cornell and Michelle (Frank) Adams of Dallas, Texas; three sons, Lorin Cook of Florence, Ky., Gary (Liza) Cook of Green Bay, and Jamie Cook of Milwaukee; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her mother, Arlene Rusha of Escanaba; sister, Mari Sue Rusha and brother, Dick (Judy) Rusha, both of Escanaba.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard, and brother, Gary.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 2, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Cory Litzner officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall of St. Thomas Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Miller family.

The Crawford Funeral Home is assisting the Miller family with arrangements.
