Escanaba Public Works employees Ken LaMarche and Jay DeShambo clean up water from a water hydrant sheared off by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon. The accident, which occurred in the 600 block of Stephenson Avenue, was reported to Escanaba Public Safety at 1:46 p.m. Efforts to repair the hydrant lasted throughout the afternoon.
