Here's something interesting:

"The city decided to give the exclusive right to negotiate a contract to EGE .. ."

Was this "exclusive right" given for any particular reason,

or just to insure that the plant would be closed and torn down ?

What about our native American neigbor's ?

I seem to remember reading that they were interested in building a 300-500 megawatt plant.

Whatever became of that enterprise, and why couldn't the council and city administrator's talk our neighbor's into buying and running the city electrical plant?
