This daily press article states:

“The city will continue buying power from an outside supplier.”

Perhaps the daily press will find an answer from the city council, and the city administration, for this question:

1) What is the rate the city is paying for electrical power from the “outside supplier”?

2) What is the rate the city is charging residents for the electrical power that the city purchases from the “outside supplier” ?

If there is a difference in price for what the city pays for power from the “outside supplier”, and the price the city charges for power to consumers . . .

3) Does the city earn a “profit” that accrues to the city from the price difference or does the city engage in this outside supplier purchase at a loss to the city?

4) How much is the rate difference, and where does the extra amount, assuming the city does charge consumers more than it pays for power,

where and what fund does this difference go,

and what is this
