Of course, there will always be a witless wonder, tooting their horn, that “they should be happy they have a job” .

We wonder if these public attitudes will be considered in any way regarding pay and benefit issues, when the next budget is reviewed by council, rolls around; and it is suggested to council the need for city workers to accept less pay, less in the way of benefits, and since it will be necessary to lay someone off, the need for workers to pickup the "slack' and accept more work ?

This is a wonder.

Workers should wonder if these public attitudes will be incorporated into pay and benefit issues as the next budget review come before council, and it is suggested to council that workers need to accept less pay, less in the way of benefits, but more work rolls around for city workers ?

This thought applies as well to county workers, no doubt.
