Nation's pothole problems persist

February 28, 2014

Hate potholes? Well, unless you and your elected officials are ready to cough up billions more for better roads and proper preventive maintenance, buckle up, 'cause it's going to be a bumpy ride....

Better that the "FREE-ENTERPRIZE" system and their adherents, move semi's off the road, and onto trains.

Having the nation's road cluttered with semi's who only serve to degrade road systems, and pay little or nothing for building, maintaining or repairs is INEFFICIENT .

Time to make the rich, republicans, and their corporations pay for infrastructure.

Rather than taking over the names of taxpayer owned and supported infrastructure

- republicans, the rich and their corporations should actually pay to build them, maintain them, and repaird them, all with NO EXEMPTION from taxation, or in leiu of having the privilege of NOT PAYING TAXES .

Somehow, everything posted here is above your quotient . . .

Obvious to all, but you, p.00.p, we can afford wars or what the wonks call "war-sims" but the 1 percenters, don't/won't pay for pot, or pot-whole repairs!

Get off the boat.

You must have went to hole patching school. You should run for Road Commissioner and change the world.

So, what they are saying is it costs money for the county workers to actually get out of the truck and put some cold patch into the potholes? Are they paid by the hour and by the pothole?

Usually there are at least 2 guys, sometimes 3 and they are almost always sitting in the truck when I see them. If they do decide to put some patch in holes, they only patch about 1 out of 3 holes. They will patch a 6 inch hole and drive right by one that is a foot across and 4 inches deep (usually the big hole is a arms reach from the smaller one). It is ridiculous how little effort the county puts into patching.

Basically, the county does a horrible job of upkeep on the roads. Not that they aren't there with the men and materials, it is that they just don't do a very good job.

I know someone will reply to me about how they or one of their family members work so hard and blah blah blah. Save it, I have eyes and so does everyone else.
