Confusion here. Most of the present first responders are Manistique Public Safety employees. They are 'good people', so if Director Golat needs to find good people to be paramedics...they are on his staff. Provide the opportunity to them for the training. This has been a discussion for the past 10-12 years but was never followed through. Maybe because there were no other options in the community? The more highly skilled and licensed staff available - the safer we all will be. It is time.

And here comes the mud slinging. Let's not make this one as bad as MGH vs Mediride ok guys? It's sad that a life saving service that people depend on have to argue publicly. Get a room.

Pass an ordinance to stop another business? Are you kidding me. Golat are you bullying them because you are afraid they will get more calls or just because you can. That has always been the problem with this town and the reason businesses don't come here.
