There they were on TV tonite,

former governor of Virginia

Robert McDonnell and his wife, Maureen,

appearing on television

“being there for their neighbors”

like rep dan banishek has suggested…

However the republican couple have been charged with accepting illegal gifts, a U.S. official says.

Republican McDonnell had been under investigation by the FBI for his relationship with a certain donor who provided multiple gifts, including large financial contributions,

to the governor and his family.

Must be Robert and Maureen wanted to make sure their financiers were being there to help them with a couple of hundred thousand dollars and thousands of dollars of gifts for the republican token wifey ?

Also featured the tv piece was

a picture of our republican friends,

none-other than that good old boy republican govner, of NJ and broken down bridge infamy, chris christie,

and of course, at the other end of the dais,

was good old scotty walker, govner, of WI, of breaking unions, negotiation rights, and slapping down pensions claim to fame .

An interesting group to say the least.

Missing from the group were our govner,

rick snyder, his loyal buddies, tom casperson, eddie mcboom,

paul ryan, john engler, john Kasich,

mitch daniels, david, bill, charlie, the good old kro.tch boys.

Wouldn’t that whole group of republicans govners and the afore mentioned souls

treat voters and get together to pose for the annual republican xmas card for taxpayers - the real ones! ?

Without a doubt,

as republican dan banishek seems to proclaim,

“they’re there for us and our neighbors”

when times are tough ….

NOT !

A new analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics

found that for the first time in the history of this nation,

MORE THAN HALF

of the current 534 members of Congress

have total assets of

$1 MILLION, or MORE.

“ I’m sure they would much rather trade all that money in

to be there

“for their neighbors”

for a strong, viable, and sustainable middle class”

“FINALLY . .

The WEALTHY and ENTITLED RICH,

have a voice in Washington!”

I sure hope OUR - congressman DocKtor Banishek

is a millionaire,

so he doesn’t feel left out,

or as impoverished as his constituents feel!

bravesock,

You’re such a rascal, rascallion, rapscallion, reptilian,

No.

Nope.

NADA.

ZIP.

you've only convinced readers what you are AGAINST, bur not anything positive

nothing,

nada,

zip,

but, nothing to correct the situation or anything that is proactive, and in the words og that famous 'hero' of so many republican minions and acolytes,

bring-it-on

George doubl-ya,

where he cut taxes for the rich, and

increased the NATIONAL DEBT by $3 TRILLION DOLLARS a year,

for as long as those cuts have been on the books,

Overall the rich occupied the greatest percentage of those ‘tax-breaks’.

Really, these tax breaks for the rich

- weren’t at all part of the

UNFETTERED INCREASE

in the NATIONAL DEBT --

Better bone-up on history and the facts “Socks”

I object to ideas and programs which perpetuate the entitlement mentality in this country. I object to the idea that because someone exists, therefore he or she is owed something if they have no intent to give anything in return. I object to the unfettered increase in our national debt, which our children and grandchildren will have to deal with. I object to the obscene compensation some corporate CEO’s receive, especially the incompetent ones; that is also part of the entitlement mentality in my opinion. I believe that what is beneficial for working people in this country is a healthy economy with private-sector jobs fueling economic growth. Government jobs are necessary, but they are not what drives our economy. A huge national debt and over taxation of businesses, plus a tax code where 43% of the population pays the taxes that fund programs for the other 57% are dragging this economy down.

Does that help?

Bravesock,

You object to just about anything, that isn’t for the Rich the Republican Party, Regressive taxes for businesses, Regressive taxes for the Republicans, Regressive taxes for the Rich.

Can you honestly be proactive for anything that is beneficial (in your word: progressive) for the working man and working woman?

Regressive, is what Republicans, and their philosophies are about.

Regressive, is what Republicans, and their Regressive tactics would like to see this country turn back the hands of time to; Robber Rich, Robber Barons, Robber Corporations and Robber Businesses, brought about by their Robber Politicians.

Is there anything you can honestly say that you WOULD ENDORSE, that isn’t for Robber Republicans, Robber Rich, Robber Barons, Robber Corporations and Their Siblings, Robber Businesses, and the Robber Koch Brothers, who’s Robber Corporations have annual Revenues slightly over $115,000,000,000.00 (BILLION $), and their Robber Politicians?

Froggy-I find you to be "objectionable" and wish you would "disappear" from the comments section. But, here you are, spouting your liberal progressive nonsense as usual. Happy New Year!

The ‘post' below was found ‘objectionable’ and has ‘disappeared-it’,

Calling for our ‘representative’ to be “there” for his poor constituents

IF.

If dr. Benishek was sincere about putting patients first ?

If dr. Benishek cared about his patients, at all,

He would work night and day to get rid of

John Boehner and Paul Ryan,

Scott Walker, Rick Snyder,

John Kasich, ALEC and

the rest of the Republican

governors, and state legislators,

who these people duped in royal fashion

to become the royal pawns of the

republican and democrat rich,

their corporations and their lobbyist minions.

As a matter of fact, perhaps dr. Benishek could get out of congress and

campaign full time on behalf of

those who don’t have healthcare access, even his

‘patients’ at the VA would benefit

from his full time job advocating on the behalf of the disenfranchised ?

Give up the money from the Republican Rich and their/your Republican party Dan.

Go for the real GOLD,

put yours and your significant others’ money where you mouth is.

Where you pro claim you already perform acts of generosity and kindness,

BECOME A FULL TIME LOBBYIST FOR THE MAJORITY OF YOUR CONSTITUENTS AND PATIENTS

- - The living and breathing POOR and MIDDLE CLASS POOR in your district.

- - NOT THE RICH,

- - RESIGN YOUR CONTRACT to the republicans, and

with your other

- - wash our FEET

LET BENISHECK BE THERE FOR HIS CONSTITUENTS - should be our rant.

All year long,

wouldn’t it be nice if members of congress would work together in quiet anonymity through congressional groups for their constituents, and

not for causes deemed IMPORTANT by

their financiers and

their PARTY BOSSES…

Congressmen who donate freely of themselves for the betterment of

their constituents,

making a difference for

THEIR CONSTIUENTS and for THEIR COMMUNITIES,

while at work on a FULL-TIME BASIS in Washington?

Perhaps,

congressman benisheck

will find that his NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS should include:

to answer emails directed to his office regarding constituents concerns?

Perhaps,

congressman benisheck is so busy with his twit and face book meanderings,

that he hasn’t the time to fulfill his responsibility to maintain

contact and open channels and lines of communication with the ‘people’,

not his financiers,

nor his party bosses,

but, rather,

real people in the U.P. and his congressional district.

Indeed, this would be a first, even though election time is drawing near.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the good docktor held townhall meetings

like our former representative bart stupak held on a regular basis and answered questions from the floor?

As it is, dan coast into town and stops at the local paper emporium, drops off boiler-plate copies of HIS concerns,

and swiftly makes his exit unseen by any, let alone many.

This WOULD be a FIRST

from dockter dan!

MAKE THIS A NEW YEARS RESOLUTION DAN

1) answer emails from constituents

2) hold townhall meetings frequently,

in assembly halls large enough for all those who wish to attend and

question your work ?

Once you are THERE FOR YOUR CONSTITUENTS,

then, maybe, we’ll listen to your banter about whatever else you have to say…

Aside from your duties as a representative

be there for the good of the people in your district,

not for the good of your financiers,

not for the good your republican party bosses, and

not for your own biases and issues.
