Don’t mess with Escanaba’s smoking ban

November 15, 2013

We are a bit confused by the action of the Escanaba City Council at its regular meeting on Nov. 7....

First,

wise frog doesn't trust anyone under the age of 69,

because they don‘t know ...

much.

but, I'm 81, so what does that imply to you, or that you're 61, what should that imply, senility ...

Well now Sir-ed…

such a conglomeration of names to keep ones mind at the top of his tope…

Now we have to add to the following list:

Exstacey, Extacy, or Ecstasy, Bozo.

Will that be along the lines of

Sir-Edvard Exstacey-Bozo

Sir-Edward Extacy-Bozo

or

Sir-Edvard-Edward-Ecstasy-Bozo.

Of course,

your enthusiasm should be applauded to limit smoking and smoke near anyone else,

especially young children, and

for that reason agree with you

that smoking,

anywhere, in your pickup, in your house, on your couch, in your bed,

should be a singular undertaking,

all the rewards of which,

should only fully transcend unto yourself

and eventually your ill-health and shortened life…

So, light-up and have your smoke in bed, life is short,

and so is your doob..ie

BTW,

I will admit to not signing my inherited name,

leaves many to conjecture many things…

but, like editor’s the world over,

who choose not to ‘sign’ their names to their works of circumlocutory, palaverous, verbose prose…

I am more selfish,

not cowardly,

as those who would espouse annoying anonymity to others...

but wish to spare family and friends amusement, embarrassment and thoughtless musings

at having association with a people,

not like yourself,

who, otherwise have the courage to utter words of lunacy without fear of immediate public humiliation, mockery, and retribution from known idiots,

not at all like yourself....

Froglegs (boy, yer folks sure named you funny).. My name is Edward Stacey.. the "E" is for Edward, the Stacey is my last name Bozo! Now, if you were not the coward you are, you'd put your REAL name out there for all to attempt to slaughter and slander.. But, yer too much the chicken dung to do so .. Meanwhile, thank you for pointing out 'exactly' what I was talking about.. when someone 'wishes' you smoke in bed, they ARE implying that you BURN up!... thank you for making my point.. BTW: I'm 61 - don't smoke, but STILL applaud the latest move FORWARD on the anti-anti-smoking ban.. (now, hop outta here legs.. boy, yer folks sure named you funny)

Exstacey, Extacy, or Ecstasy,

Or whatever he's moanin about…

regarding ‘smokin in bed’.

If he's old enough...

Let him deduce,

left to his own devices,

he’d be able to …

Years ago, many deaths, were attributed to

‘smoking in bed’… for whatever reason,

Sorry, "Wizzing in your Wig" guy.. but you should read what you write more closely.. Explain this, (quote)

If you prize the smoke, maybe you should smoke in bed too.

(unquote)

In your rush to pronounce my REAL name, "Wizz Guzzling Wig" - you blew it!.. lost even more credibility with anyone who sees your "Fecal" smears.

Ok, Wizzy on your Wig, explain, "What does 'smoking in bed' actually mean to you"... Gwan!.. swallow

Extacy,

Apparently, you've inhaled too much 'smoke'...

As I re-read my post, nowhere did i wish anyone HARM.

If you include smoking without exhaling HARM,

I would venture that I would rather smokers ingest their smoke rather than children.

What part of reading is hindering your comprehension?

Are you old enough to request someone from RSVP

to come and help you with your reading or, better yet, read aloud to YOU!

Exstacey,

re-read what i posted, nowhere, did it say

ANYTHING

about having you'burn-in-bed'.

Obviously, you read things into and between what is actually said or intended, which leads you on a goose-chase for a non-existent 'goose'.

I would have thought your reading, interpreting and reciting skills to be above the average recruit?

Well, Wizzy Wig, I don't smoke, I don't buy'em and I don't smoke'em - But I do believe the 'control freaks' you mentioned exist to simply try and CONTROL anyone else's life in ANY WAY they can. I wouldn't wish YOU burn up in your Bed.. but I see that You, like many others wish HARM to anyone who opposes your obsession to CONTROL those around you. I won't ask why, the answer would only make sense to a nut-job like yourself.. and I don't speak F A N N Y G A S ...

Much thanks to the Council for reversing their error on this for the sake of ALL FREE Americans living here.. minus those who speak F a n n y.

Ecstasy,

Yes.

I will be the first to say that I value my life and health, above you uncontrollable urges.

You ‘smoking-freaks’ are in effect trying to controll non-smokers,

and contributing to ill health.

Give children, your children, grandchildren

and the rest of us the benefit of smoking in your car, your home and your truck, and outhouse.

If you prize the smoke,

maybe you should smoke in bed too.

See, then who exercises their 'control-freak' attitudes.

Of course,

children, your children, your grandchildren,

and other children don’t carry any say or authority over their circumstance,

and must too readily and repeatedly

take whatever their ignorant parents and care-givers dish-out to them.

There isn’t much different in

physical or mental child abuse,

and medical child abuse.

Only, that medical child abuse is not as codified as are other forms of child abuse.

With these thoughts in mind,

it is hoped you don’t develop any other addictions and uncontroable behaviors

that you must perform in public...

or parks or child play areas, that you find a craving to exhibit...

Of course, park attendance would increase,

just to take pictures and video your performance.

You fungus heads don’t make no sense anyhow, nohow.

Maybe, just Maybe.. Lifting the Ban, "IS" a step forward.. Which is to say having the City Council and others try to 'control' the behavior of others was a 'STEP BACKWARDS' in the Civil Rights of FREE people, indulging in a LEGAL practice while 'ALSO' enjoying the Gifts of their fellow Tax Payers and Generous Neighbors.. Parks, like ALL of the Outdoors is for EVERYONE.. and the ear of the Council should not ALWAYS be tuned to the whiners and protesters.. Word has it there will be MORE liberties floating down the pipe.. sorry if it ticks you CONTROL FREAKS out..

I'll bet you all

'light-up'

in the woods as you

bait your deer,

and sit in your blind,

blissfully calling yourself

a

'sportsman' or a

'hunter'!

More than that, some would say you're none of the above, but a true dolt.

Just what Escanaba needs more rules!! If you want to see what impact all Escanabas rules have on the economy, take a ride through Ludington Park in Escanaba on the Fourth Of July, then take a ride to Gladstones park. Just what Escanaba needs more rules!!!

The city’s’ governance, while often miss-guided and off the target,

often moves one-step forward,

only to take a-half-dozen steps backwards when a new bunch of council banana’s are cultivated from public pastures.....

Let us use and apply ‘concerned’s’ logic one other way:

“Maybe this park will see a spike in popularity since parents will be able to have a smoke.”

Let’s reinforce this same line of logic with a few changes in words”

"Maybe this park will see a spike in popularity since parents will be able to urinate or defecate in the park.”

“parent’s” SHOULD PRACTICE SELF-CONTROL,

and hold themselves,

deny themselves and

CONSIDER the WELFARE of their CHILDREN,

MY CHILDREN,

GRANDCHILDREN AND THE PUBLIC.

Would that be too difficult of a concept to absorb?

The city’s’ governance,

while often miss-guided,

poorly aimed, off target,

and often moves one-step forward,

only to take a-half-dozen steps backwards...

especially,

when a new crop or bunch of council banana’s are cultivated from public pastures.

One More Time:

As far as smoker’s and smoking in the parks,

the city administration and city council should treat this exercise

just as if someone were to openly or

secretively unilaterally decide to urinate and defecate in the park...

- no deference no difference...

- all hazardous to public health.

Sure, allow smoking,

but mandate that it be accomplished with a bag over their heads, to contain the carcinogens,

let it also be their responsibility that it be done without exhaling.

THEN, I’M SURE THE PUBLIC WOULDN’T FUSS.

Even a freshly picked or decaying old brown bunch of banana's should know this,

in this “un-lighted” age…

just

This is actually a good thing for the park in an odd way. Who doesn't smoke these days unless your some health freak. Maybe this park will see a spike in popularity since parents will be able to have a smoke a safe distance away from the children without having to take their eyes off them. Smokers are still people too, I mean come on.
