Ives to pay $72K restitution for scam

MENOMINEE — A Bark River man was ordered to pay more than $72,000 restitution on a home construction scam, according to a court ruling issued earlier this week in Menominee County....

middleagewhiteguy actually the courts in michigan can put a lien on your house and/or possession for restitution. the problem is does ives have anything of value and would the courts go through with it? i agree with you though bro!

Too bad the legal system can't screw Ives like he's screwed his victims. It would be justice to have a court order to make him sell his house and all possessions to begin paying back those he scammed. Unfortunately that make too much sense, and the courts won't do that.

If nothing else, hopefully all this publicity will prevent him from scamming anyone else in the future. With all the numbers and victims totaled up (the ones that went ahead with charges and civil suits) Ives and his family still say he's innocent and never had a gambling problem.....

What a bunch of bullscat! Where in the world is he going to get $72k? His victims are still getting screwed. And, he gets a slap on the wrist.
