Well, now that we are about to have at least FIVE different auto parts stores, we can only hope that none of the "new businesses" coming in are auto part stores as well! Ridiculous!

Does anyone know what's going in between WacArnolds & Taco Hell? Is that where the new AutoQuest is gonna be?

Bal***eep, That is another auto parts store. It will be an O'Reilly auto parts. The other one next to advanced auto will be an auto zone.

That being said, do not shot at the auto zone store. That was constructed with mostly out of town workers. If they do not support local workers, we should not support their business.

O'Reilly will be built using local workers.

That should have been "Do not SHOP at the Auto Zone store."

We need to get rid of a few establishments first before any more come. First off there's "Subway" do we REALLY need 3 locations in Escanaba alone? Not to mention the one in Gladstone. You're telling me we can change one of those locations to a "Quiznos" or "Jimmy Johns"? In fact, we could move both those businesses in and still have 2 "Subways" between us and Gladstone. Now the car part stores, we're going to have well over 4 or 5 auto-parts stores in town. WHY?!!?!?! Also, it would be a pleasure and probably bring more business to town if we dumped "Staples" and just turned it into a "Best Buy." You know they can do and have everything "Staples" already has... plus electronics the youth actually want! Not to mention a real selection of movies unlike the crap "Wal-Fart" and "Shop-Ko" carry. Basically, we need to take a few notes from Marquette and learn to turn this town in the right direction. W

How Many?

and

I thought?

First,

how many NEW CONSTRUCTION PERMITS HAVE BEEN ISSUED IN ESCANABA, so far, THIS YEAR

AND

HOW MANY NEW CONSTRUCTION PERMITS WERE ISSUED DURING THE LAST YEAR?

I THOUGHT

The city of Escanaba had a ordinance REQUIREMENT

that all zones of building construction were

REQUIRED

TO POST THEIR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT

AT THE SIGHT OF CONSTRUCTION,

in A READILY CONSPICUOUS LOCATION

ON THE SITE.

I haven’t seen any lately,

What gives,

why aren’t these permits being posted?

Are these requirements only for home-owners and

others the city can harass?

must be only republicans can get away without following this ordinance?
