Christian family would. The fine is not absurd, it is trying to give people the money back Ive's stole. Being the coward, liar, and cheat he and his family are, he will NEVER pay back his victims. Ask the Kossow's how their restitution is going. This man needs to be locked up, not to "rehabilitate" him, but to keep him from scamming others. If you want a caring community helping victims and those taken advantage of, I challenge you to start a community fund to help pay back all of Ive's victims the money owed. Then the healing can start. As far as Jason? There is little hope for a sociopath that does not acknowledge his wrong doing. Look up sociopath in the dictionary, it describes Jason to a T. Interestingly, it also says in most cases, there is a family history of sociopathy. Hmm, Jason's Dad? What about the future, will he pass on the tendicies to his children? Will they become arrogant users of others? Or can the cycle be broken?

This man is a thief and a liar many times over. Dozens of people, not just the cases in the paper. GLUA, you are inept and misinformed at best on God's plan. God says REPENT, go and SIN NO MORE. Jason never repented, and maintains he is innocent in all cases, just plead guilty for expedience. HE is fighting the one case according to the paper. He used Gods name, telling people of his "religious" nature to build trust before he scammed them. That is bearing false witness before God. These were not another mans "mistakes". These were pre-planned thefts, he continued for YEARS until the justice system finally got it's act together and prosecuted him. Better than Ive's? You bet I am, and I will stand before God like all will, and I have no fear that God will look on me in the same negative light as the Ive's family, false prophets, using the name of God to try and cover their sins, while never acknowledging their sins or working to make it right like a true christain fa

As far as the absurdly fine, why not have a realistic way for the people to give back and to learn at the same time.. Like a community work program for these people to upgrade things in the community with painting, or repairs, clean up, and etc. but also educate these people about what they are doing wrong.. These people will never learn by sitting in jail for a year and giving them some sort unreasonable fine.. Let's educate them where they are lacking and let's allow them to give back.. That's where change begins.. But this cycle of jail and some sort of fine.. It's not teaching these people anything..

For such a beautiful area and beautiful community, I have never seen so much back talk, hatred, negativity, and discrimination.. Nobody is better than anyone.. We have all made mistakes.. We all will make mistakes for God to get us where he needs us to be.. This city could be a great community of people cared about everyone in it's community instead of trying to discriminate those who are less fortunate.. Nobody in this town is perfect.. And for those who think they are better those are one's who will ultimately have to deal with God in the end.. People in this area are good people.. They work hard, maybe they grew up a certain way or don't have certain things, but what are we as a community doing to help thee people besides judge/descriminate to keep them down.. Do you think that's what God would want? Does it make you feel better to judge others and to point and descriminate against other people's wrong doings? Do you not have yours?? What would God think?

It is prob. Best for the students to read this to be honest. That way they can see how much this community cares about it's citizens.. Persecute them, discriminate, and judge them.. This is a man who I personally don't know, but he is going through his own issues.. To sit here and obliterate a man for his wrong doings is not the answer.. That makes you no better than this Ives man himself.. Love one another... I'm sure you have all made your mistakes maybe not to the same degree, but we are humans and sinners.. Having that sort of malice in your heart towards another mans mistakes is not going to make you feel better.
and that is not hatred. he never said anywhere that he hates anywhere. a better term would be dislikes or disapproves. his statement is true though.
the internet is not a safe place for students. it's too hard to lock down everything. they should stick with books and encyclopedia programs. there is no sure way to be safe. even whitehousedotcom used to be a p0rn site years ago. know how many kids went there on accident?
completely agree with MAWG.
I would hope The Daily Press would remove those horrible/hatred comments. Students read this website daily. I pray for the Middle Aged White guy who has the hatred in his heart.
Ives is a thief alright, but your negative remarks about O has nothing to do with this story...you "teatard"
Let's see....first $10,000 fine and $104,000 restitution. Then another $10,000 restitution. Where is the scumbag "Ives The Embezzler" going to come up with that kind of money, unless he starts scamming more people once released from prison? There's no way that dirtbag can pay any of this off working a legitimate job. All he has to do is declare bankruptcy and he's off the hook. Unfortunately in our legal system he isn't considered "dangerous" so he gets to scam out of more jail time. The only thing more pathetic than this idiot is the Idiot-In-Chief occupying the White House. Jason Ives and Obama - the two biggest losers.
