I certainly hope that when you say "...some adoptable cats and kittens from the shelter will also be displayed" you mean pictures and not live animals. That is no place to bring shelter animals, as has been done in the past.

Agreed. Heard about them having cats there before. A bar is not a place for cats and it's not a place for cat adoptions either. What, come on down, get drunk, and take home a cat, too?

Are you two really that ignorant? A) you can't actually take a cat home with you from the bar, they are they to melt peoples hearts and get them to go to the shelter and B) they would probably only bring cats there that they know can handle it, it's a great way to socialize the animals as well. And honestly this is a fundraiser and pretty ridiculous you people have only negative comments to make. If you don't want to support the shelter, don't make unnecessary, uneducated comments and maybe you shouldn't have read the article to begin with. It's called self control. TGIF!

Apparently as a non supporter of the shelter MissKitty which is evident of your always negative comments when there is an article about the shelter you haven't been to the Ernie's event I take it. They bring the animals in for a little bit and then take them back to the shelter. They are not going to adopt to people at a bar event it is to show what kind of animals that are available at the shelter. Maybe you should check one of the many "off site" adoption events the shelter puts on. I for one think they are doing a great job since taking over from the county. If you think they are doing such a bad job maybe you ought to step up and go volunteer there and see what it entails.
